ANVIL BAND ALBUM COVERS UPDATE

Still, I would like to make a quick update for everyone to see that Anvil is in the process of making a new album, and they just announced a bunch of new tour dates in both Europe and here in North America. Hello there fans of the best heavy metal band in the world, how have things been going? I myself have been busy and because of that you haven’t been hearing from me lately. Anvil 2019 tour and news about Blue Lagoon Tour Why don’t we go to the beginning and see how it all started back in the 80s in Canada. I hear that they still play small gigs in North America, and that’s very cool of them. They never really got into mainstream that much since their initial success back in the 80s, and they are older now, it’s been close to 40 years since the band was formed. I’m not surprised about the band not being active nowadays. Sadly the band isn’t really all that active on the concert scene during this modern age of high quality drones that can capture excellent quality video and sound so that we have that, but there’s still plenty of earlier video footage of the band, that’s worth checking out. Anvil has also played a huge role in my life and I thought I owe it to the guys to setup this website where I’ll talk about the band history, share their music and even some live footage from their gigs here in Germany. With 4 years away, a band with boundless creative energy, as Tomb Mold are, were certain to expand the scope of their vision, and on ‘The Enduring Spirit’ they’ve shaped a record with a cinematic environment that offers unlimited avenues of exploration, both for themselves and the listener.Ġ1.Anvil is an iconic heavy metal band from Canada and this website is an unofficial, fan made, tribute to this great band, who has had a huge influence on todays music. The back half of the record continues the voyage into what’s possible with the outward expansion of Death Metal norms, reaching the zenith of 11+ minute album closer ‘The Enduring Spirit Of Calamity’, an otherworldly journey into a vortex where all things converge in space and time and generating the tree of life via luminous celestial composition. “Will Of Whispers” enters with a jazz-like fantasy sequence before careening into a blinding white light barrage, tasteful guitar leads and back to a dreamy serpentine pattern, encompassing whole universes in its nearly 7 minute run-time. With album opener ‘The Perfect Memory (Phantasm of Aura)’ the band’s angular dimension shifting riffing appears right out of the gate as the track travels through varying degrees of progressive Death Metal and some of the band’s most extreme material yet.

Certainly Derrick Vella’s time creating within and expanding the Doom genre in Dream Unending has seeped into the flesh of Tomb Mold, not to mention Payson Power and Max Klebanoff’s explorations in their own Daydream Plus project. While the expanding Tomb Mold architecture could be heard on last year’s self-released ‘Aperture of Body’ tape, particularly on final track ‘Prestige of Rebirth’, it comes into clear focus throughout ‘The Enduring Spirit'. Yet for all its frenetic daring and audacious exploration, ‘The Enduring Spirit’ is never anything other than unmistakably Tomb Mold.
